A Taste that’s probably the best - Bhale Dai ko Achar As humans, we always long for something new especially when it comes to our food. Bikash Napit who also happens to be the drummer of the band ‘The Alchemist’, got sick of the same achaar served in different bars, where he and his band mates used to perform, especially around Jhamsikhel and Thamel area. The idea was to create a special pickle that gels well with anything, from a typical Nepalese dinner to different international cuisine ranging from pizzas to momos, to anything that comes in your mind. Bhale Dai ko Achaar started off with a small initiation, firstly the product was only produced for Bikash’s friends and family. However, everyone loved the taste of the pickle and many started to motivate Bikash to establish a small start-up and distribute Bhale Dai ko Achaar throughout Kathmandu Valley. ‘The results were amusing, people started to love my products. The initial days were hard, we participated in different food exhibitions through out the valley to promote the product . We even distributed the products to different eateries to let people know about what we are doing. Today, Bhale Dai ko Achaar is slowly picking its pace, and now widely available in Kathmandu Valley and Butwal. However, the company still striving to find more dealers throughout the country. As stated by Bikash - ‘Every start-up requires time to raise its bars, I am optimistic and I believe my products can do wonders in the coming days. My ultimate goal is to market the product in the international markets, and make a Nepali Food Product popular across the world.
